What to expect from our on-site corporate photography shoot
If you’re reading this then I hope that means you understand just how important quality, corporate photography is to your business and your brand identity.
Just because your final business headshots are important – doesn’t mean you need to set aside an unnecessary amount of time getting them done.
We know your time is precious and we want to minimise disruption to your workday while still delivering the best corporate photography.
Let’s outline how a typical on-site corporate shoot with us works so that you know what to expect:
Prior to the shoot you will liaise with our Creative Director about your specific, corporate photography needs. It’s important that we gather lots of information beforehand so that we can bring the correct equipment with us on the day.
This is also the time to discuss how you intend to use your images. Often when we are taking London headshots it’s because companies are launching a new website or re-branding – a great time to get some shiny new corporate headshots!
If this is the case then it may be useful to have some information about your website design, the size of space available for your images and whether they will be needed in landscape or portrait orientation.
Not to worry though since we can also take a broad range of shots if you are not working to such tight constraints.
Based on our preliminary discussions we may deem it necessary to conduct a site survey. This will ensure that what you want can be achieved within the space you have. This is especially important if you have requested environmental office shots or larger group shots.
We also recommend that every person who is going to be photographed reads our article on how to make the most of their time and nail their shot.
On the day of the shoot we will arrive at 10am. We will set up all our equipment and carefully move any of your furniture to maximise space. At 10.30am we will be ready to begin. If we are photographing lots of members of staff it is useful if you can create a call-sheet so that we can move through subjects quickly and effectively – again minimising disruption to everybody’s working day. Depending on your requirements we can advise you on the length of time needed for each person.
Group shots can be handled in two ways. We either take shots with everyone present at once or we shoot smaller groups/individuals and splice the images together in post-production. This is dependent on your aesthetic brief, the space available and the number of subjects. We will need to schedule this time accordingly into the call-sheet.
At the end of the session we will remove our equipment and reset your room as we found it. You will be able to view your proofs within 48 business hours from your shoot day. They are available in an online, password protected gallery. You may find it useful to read our guide on how to handle your proofs here which also details what type of edit you may wish to consider.
Once you have signed off on your chosen images the post-production edit begins and the clock starts on a further 48 business hours of work for us. We keep all our editing in-house so that you get exactly what you want in accordance with the initial brief.
Your final images will be delivered to you through an online link so that you can download them to your own systems. They will be available in both colour and black and white. We also provide them in two file formats: one size optimised for social media/online use and another which has been specifically sized for printing.
